How to tweak MySQL 4.x

Tweak MySQL

I've found that these configuration options I got from "aussie" in another forums work well with MySQL 4.x on my machines. I suggest implementing them to alieviate the load MySQL may cause when you run big SQL sites on your server:

pico /etc/my.cnf

Isi dengan:

[client]
#password = your_password
port = 3306
socket = /tmp/mysql.sock

# Here follows entries for some specific programs

# The MySQL server
[mysqld]
port = 3306
socket = /tmp/mysql.sock
